how to scan images using vb.net
I want to allow the user to scan documents, the easiest possible way from within an application in vb.net. Can someone help me in that, please
I heard about TWAINHandler.vb, however, I do not know where to download it from.

Yes not having any scanning device is the reason that its not showing any. Try it on a computer which has a scanning device attached.

When I ran the application on my PC with printer/scanner it bombed in the init method
init(byval hwndp as intptr)
the error is badImageFormat excepton in the call to the method DSMParent.
Sorry, I do not know any background on the intprt (by the way its value = 0) and the DSMParent.
My printer is brother MFC-795 CW
Thanks

I think that my scanner may not be a TWAIN compliant, I will investigate this possibility, however, You gave me a really good example, that I beleive will work, and you deserve the points... Thanks CodeCruiser.

The application compiled, however, when I select "Select source" nothing shows. I am now trying the application from an office that do not have scanner, nor webcam, I feel this must be the reason. I will try it tonight at another location which has a connected scanner (printer (4 in 1) is that OK to use?
