Cant update a PC in work - to hear her radio :-)

Getting this error .....

I thinks it win 7 but could be xp.

Not sure how you are trying to update java but......try doing an offline install of java.
You can download java from here:

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Let me know how it goes.

Uninstall previous version first
What makes you think it's anything to do with malware?

Of course, it's always worth checking for malware, especially if you've had out-of-date Java on your machine for any length of time

I agree with CEHJ.  Uninstall previous version of Java first.  If uninstall using Control Panel is not working use JavaRa.

I do not understand the mention of "to hear her radio".

It's an online radio station that requires java to run I think

Hello.

It is most likely a proxy restriction and yoru comapny may be throttling out streaming traffic.  Can your colleagues listen and is the problem yours alone?  

If you are trying to install Java you may hit other restrictions as most companies do not allow installations.  If you do have installation permissions, try downloading the offline Java package and running it from an area you have permissions on.
