Good idea but I am accessing it using a nested &nbsp;remote session.<br />

Remote to server 1 then Remote to Windows 2012 Hypervisor (Windows 2012 server core) &nbsp;<br />

Ctrl-Alt-End only logged me off the first level of RDP &nbsp;and its the 2nd level of RDP that is black.<br />
I can't RDP directly to the hypervisor from where I am now.<br />

I can log into the hypervisor as a another user but I don't know what command to use to kill the other session.

In serve core you will only see a black screen with a command prompt. There are no menus in Server core. <br />
Do I misunderstand?

You could also add your remote server to server manager in a server you can access and manage it from there,

I finally figure out to expand the 2012 taskmgr display. I signed off the user.
