Print Spooler Crashing

I have a windows XP machine that the print spooler keeps crashing.  Spooler Subsystem App.. Spoolvsv.exe Fault module qvreadmont.dll is the issue. There's a printer called qvPDF installed with something in the cue.  I can't delete it because the print spooler keeps crashing and I trying to delete the printer but I can't do that either.  I believe this is my issue.  Can anyone let me know how I can fix this...

open the print spool, pause the printer
stop the spooler service
start the spooler service
open the print spool and delete all pending print jobs
delete the printer
delete the printer driver from the print server (from main printers screen)

Try uninstalling the qvPDF program via Add/Remove Programs and see if that helps.

I tried all of that.  As soon as I open the printer and click on the printer the spooler crashes
Hi,

You can try this:

Stop the spooler service.
Open this folder and delete all the files:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

Start the spooler.

Try to work
Won't that delete all the printers?
Hi,

No, those file are only the print jobs.
ok will try. thankx
ok that got rid of the job.  But I still can't delete the printer.  Is there a way to uninstall printer via registry?
Try this command,

rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /s /t2

It will show you the printers, try deleting the printer from there.
Have you tried deleting starting XP from Safe mode?

When in safe mode try our suggestions
Yes I tried safe mode but unless the print spooler is enabled you can't delete the printer.  I'll try the command next
