Compare Sheets to Find Like Rows Based on 2 Columns
I am trying to compare 2 sheets in Excel in order to find duplicates in the second sheet that match the first sheet. I've attached an example of the file I am trying to get fixed. I'm pretty good at lookups, etc., but this one has me stumped, and I know it probably is solved by using match and index, but am confused. HELP! :)
Basically I want to find anything in Report 2 that matches Report 1 based on Device Name (Column A) and Port (Column B) - the goal being to identify ports in the 2nd report that are still administratively up while being operationally down so that we can administratively shut those ports off to better protect our network.
The reports are two separate reports that show ports in this state for the past 30 days. One was one 2 weeks ago, and the second yesterday.
Enhancing the match is good, but the basic matching is as stated above.
The result should be some entry in column G, i.e., "Schedule Shutdown" or something to that effect.
