Keeping Smart Phones functional during Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 migration.
Hello,
I am migrating a 50 user network from Exchange 2003 (Windows 2003) to Exchange 2010 (Windows 2008R2).
Exchange 2010 is ready for the mailbox move.
Exchange 2003 currently has the SSL certificate assigned to it; this is primary used for smart phones' authentication to email.
I imagine that after moving a mailbox to the Exchange 2010, the phone will stop working till the SSL certificate is assigned to the Exchange 2010. Due to the size and number of mailboxes, this will be difficult to do without extended down time.
Is there a recommended way of addressing this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Once you set the legacy URL, both your 2003 and 2010 users will work and you can move ahead with the mailbox move.
Make sure to add legacy URL in the SAN Cert and apply it on 2003 front-end as well. Let me know if you have any further query.
