SQL Server 2008: loading table from the pipe delimited file

What is the quickest way to load data in the table from the flat file?
Table has more columns than the file, which should be ignored.

convert it to a CSV file and import...
Well, it is a CSV file.  That is unless you think that the only CSV is a comma delimited file.
