Android phones and vanishing calendar meetings

The situation - we have a small group of Galaxy S4 users in our environment. Two of them are reporting that meetings that they are invited to periodically are removed from their calendar and are missing.

The issue appears to have started only when they purchased the Galaxy and added their Exchange account to it; it was not happening on their previous phone, a Galaxy Note.

We know that this sort of problem has been an ongoing one for iOS users and affects iOS versions prior to 6.1.3. Any word on if Android users are affected; we can confirm that in the user's delegation settings, they are set to receive meeting invitations and updates in addition to the delegate - this despite our IT team's warning to not do so as that can lead to known problems.

Looking for any experience with Android devices that have had similar issues and advice in general; Microsoft seems to imply that Android can experience such a problem but suggests we talk to the device maker to resolve.

Hello.

The meetings that go missing, are they ones that are moved or newly created?

Please confirm what version of Exchange are you running?  Is it patched to the fullest level?  We did see something similar on Blackberry and Android as welll as the referenced iOS 6.1.3 item.

Patching Exchange to the latest SP and related patches (impact reduced) and firmware on the devices resolved Android (resolved all with the exception of corruptions).

Thanks for your reply! I'm checking this out now and will get back to you re: your questions -
Rigo2013 -

- Exchange in our environment is Exchange 2010 SP 3.
- The meetings were created by other users; the Android user was invited to them, and their delegate accepted the invitations; they were on the calendar a few weeks.
- It is possible updates were sent to change date and time but the Android user does not remember.
- Not  sure about other patches pending to Exchange;
- Not sure about the Android device's firmware, we can check/upgrade.
Hello again.

Done a little digging on this.  The latest we have is that if you are patched your server side should be ok on that front.  Previosu handsets have worked so it is looking likely that it is the S4 and its mail client but I cannot prove that.

Have you tried a different client on the device?  Divide is free and most brilliant.  Might be worth testing that along side the S4 native client (you can have the two and once installed you will see what I mean).  You can then do a direct comparison and narrow down on the fault.

Meanwhile I will keep digging.
hello.

How you getting on?  Any progress?

Thanks for asking; we upgraded to the latest firmware on the Android device, and so far it's fine - still concerned as our experience with this issue is that it's very intermittent. I'm open to any other suggestions to address - it seems like IOS in particular, and Android at times, are vulnerable to this sort of thing.
