lnt.nonintertnet.sub group

Very frustrating problem here.  Domino 8.5.3FP4 same as client. Lotus Traveler  8.5.3.3

OK. I have user who sent a message to another user FROM her iPhone. The issue is she apparently sent it FROM her Yahoo account and not from the Domino Domain account. FROM her yahoo account she also somehow cc'd some Lotus groups. Like Managers and TopStaff.
The recipient received the message with Managers <SFFsidfhsaghdsg=@int.noninternet.sub> and TopStaff<SF3983948u=@int.noninternet.sub> in the cc line or some such nonsense.

The sender of course received bounces for those two groups. No big deal.

The RECIPIENT now when ever she adds the TopStaff group in a to or cc field(which is a group in the PUBLIC address book), it populates as TopStaff<SF3983948u=@int.noninternet.sub>  and bounces at the gateway as an invalid domain name.  same thing happens to with the Managers group.

First I though to just delete an entry in Recent Contacts in the PAB.  No joy. Not there.

Changed the preferences where it dictates how to add entries to recent contacts to only senders who emailed me(or something similar) and resent a message.

Read the Article regarding address encoding for Apple devices from IBM
and changed the
<PROPERTY NAME="TSS_ADDRESSCACHE_ENCODING_ENABLED_AS" VALUE="false"/>

to read false. Restarted traveler.

This doesn't affect the client with the cached entry now.

The type-ahead cache always populates with Managers <SFFsidfhsaghdsg=@int.noninternet.sub>  even after deleting from the type-ahead cache dialog.

It is only affecting the ONE user who received the message from the user with iPhone non-Domino account. And it started happened immediately after.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Sounds like there is a cache on the Apple client you need to reset. On Android I know where to delete these.  On Apple: Here is a tip from CultOfMac: (copied from article)

Ever wanted to remove all those recently contacted emails from the drop down list in your Mail app on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad? The lists gets kind of long, and maybe you just want to narrow it down to the folks in your list of contacts, rather than all the folks you’ve contacted recently.
You can do this fairly easily on your iOS device, provided you don’t mind removing one address at a time. The address also has to not be in your Contacts on the device, either.
To delete these addresses from the list of recent contacts, launch Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and start typing an address into the To field. Several of the addresses that show up in the list that drops down will have a blue arrow next to them. Tap on that arrow.
You’ll be taken to a new screen, which will let you add the address to your contacts, either a new or an existing one, or remove this address from the previous recipients list. Hit the giant red button to do just that. Poof! They’re gone.
Now they won’t be in your drop down list when you start typing emails on your iOS device, unless, of course, you send them an email again in the future. Then they’ll still show up, and maybe you should just hit that blue arrow and add them to your Contacts, then.

The cache is on the desktop client that is having the problem. Win7 Pro with LN 8.53FP4
Then please clean up the recent contacts on that desktop.
As stated
"First I thought to just delete an entry in Recent Contacts in the PAB.  No joy. Not there."
Perhaps you should look into both the iPhone and desktop of the one user with the problem, check if perhsaps there is a contact or group created within the mail db (option for contacts storage for mobile users).

And clean out both contacts and recent contacts on both the Notes client AND the iPhone.
The RECIPIENT in my scenario does NOT have an iPhone. She is only using the the desktop.

The original recipient is now having the problem, not the iPhone user(who was the original sender)
So: the recipient has no recent contacts with the odd domain?  Perhaps the recipient has them as normal contacts?

Also, after removing: do a Ctrl-Shift-F9 for rebuild all views.
correct. the domain is not listed in the normal contacts either.
To reiterate, let's call the Sender Susie and the Recipient Rita.   Susie and Rita both have valid company eMail addresses. Susie has an iPhone as well as a desktop client. Rita just has a desktop client.
Susie, from her iPhone, sends Rita an eMail message, from her yahoo account and not her company account.  She also copies two lotus groups(which become the @lnt.noninternet.sub addresses.
Susie gets some bounces for the two groups but  Rita's receives the message successfully.

Now, when Rita tries to send a message from her desktop client to those two groups, they bounce as they are now listed as the @lnt.noninternet.sub. groups.

Rita does not have these groups listed in Contacts or My Recent Contacts.
From the type-ahead field itself, once the group is deleted there, it immediately shows up again.

The groups, TopStaff and Managers ARE in fact valid groups in the public address book. And no one else is having a problem.

There are about 13 other groups which work fine for Rita. It is just the two that were in the cc field of that one message.

Rita does not have an eMail enabled mobile device.

Did anyone bother to look up lnt.noninternet.sub? Try, you'll find some interesting pages that inform you that "Apple devices have been found to be incapable of supporting the full range of acceptable Domino mail addresses". It is an indication of a substitution of a non-valid domain.

Up to you to find out why the domain is invalid and how it can be corrected.
Had you bothered to read my entire question you would see that I had already read the article and already understand what the domain is. That is not the problem. Thanks

Ah, right... You might have bothered to give us the link to that page... ;-)

Now, is it a problem still that an address with an invalid domain arrives at the server, or doesn't that happen any more but there's still the invalid address in a type-ahead cache somewhere?
Type-ahead somewhere. Not in my recent contacts. Did search of address book as well, no joy.  Confounding problem
Does Rita use Lotus Notes on her desktop? Or does she use iNotes or a web browser to acces her email? Does she have multiple address books?

Don't really think that an uninstall/reinstall is the ideal solution but it is usually the obvious one. Gave lars 100pts for considering the Eclipse caching. No way to know if that was actually the case or not.
