Turn off the option to resize the table to fit contents

I am encountering difficulties with some images (longer ones) that extend slightly (but unacceptably) beyond the right-side margin. <br />
<br />
The behavior that I require is having Word shrink the image down so that it NEVER extends beyond the right-side margin. <br />
<br />
I can manually size each image by dragging one corner but that is both time consuming and prone to some inconsistency. <br />
<br />
Ideally, I'm looking for a setting that will stop this problem. Does such a thing exist or do you know of another way to solve this problem?<br />

Microsoft Word is a commercial document editing program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It features numerous text-editing tools for creating richly formatted documents, along with tools for the use of macros in Word documents. Word's native file formats are denoted either by a .doc or .docx file extension.
