Company Email being marked as spam all of a sudden?
A user is having an issue sending email to 3 different companies now.
In some cases it is being marked as spam.
In other cases the sender is receiving an undeliverable message.
The message in the bounceback is:
Diagnostic information for administrators:
Generating server: barracuda.OURDOMAIN.com
user@theirdomain.com
#< #5.0.0 X-Spam-&-Virus-Firewall; host mail.THEIRDOMAIN.com[XX.XX .XX.XXX] said: 550 5.7.1 Message rejected as spam by Content Filtering. (in reply to end of DATA command)>
Any insight on how to handle a situation like this would be greatly appreciated.
We are running Exchange 2007 with a Barracuda Spam and Virus Firewall.
If you need any additional information (likely you will), please let me know.
Thanks.

I would call THEIRDOMAIN admins and see what is going on..Call? On the phone?? Ugh. I'm dreading that.
Guess we will see what happens.
Thanks for the input guys.
Calling is faster, you could email them and ask... but it might take longer. hopefully you have a good relationship with them.

Homerslmpson,
Glad that you got up and running. By the way, what was the end solution?

That's part of the problem with Experts Exchange. Sometimes there is no realistic solution.
I'm not going to leave the question open forever and I'm not going to close it and assign no points either.
In the end, I think I just kind of let this fade away into the background (I know, some IT guy I am).
I let the user know that this is likely an issue on the other company's end and they they need to do their part to add us to their whitelist.
I add companies to our whitelist all the time. It shouldn't be too much of an issue for them.
So, yeah, technically, there was no solution - just some nice folk like you that were trying to help. Can't deny you guys points for that ; )
