VMware - Restart RedHat in single-mode user
Hi,
We are using VMare with Linux RedHat VM and playing around with sshd_config, ssh daemon doesn't allow remote connectivity anymore. Telnet is also not available.
Basically, we are not able to connect to Linux VM anymore.
The question is: Is there a way to startup the VM in single-user mode? Or is there any other way to get into the VM and resume ssh connectivity?
Tks,
Joao

if you have can see the linux machine Vm booting ,if you can logon the redhat hat system
using the root passwd the you can change the sshd configuration .
or if
you have vnc set up inthe server , then you can remotly control the desk top and restore the rhel system .
you get in to sigle usr mode from grub screen by typing linux =1 ,
and then connecting to any other virtual terminals for trouble shooting .
thanks

Because there is the option to restart the Guest system... but I guess this is a normal restart right?
