Transfer files from ESXi to a VM (Windows)
I have a couple of newly installed ESXi 5.1 hosts at a remote location:
no VMs in them yet.
I rarely get a chance to go to that remote location, so tomorrow,
I'm going to bring an MS SQL 2012 DVD there : this DVD is an
MS SQL 2012 setup DVD (which was burnt from an iso image).
Q1:
what are the commands to mount (if any) the DVD, then copy
out it's contents to a VMFS folder in ESXi
Q2:
Then next week when VMs are up, how can the VMs copy out
the SQL files into the VMs (they're Windows 2008) c: or d:
drive?
I can't copy remotely as the WAN link speed is only about 128kbps
& it can take a whole day to copy more than 3GB of files across.
Besides, when I tried copying in the past, the link often drop
