Windows 7 Installation Won't Use Hard Drive

I am trying to install Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit on a Samsung laptop but I keep getting a message saying "Windows cannot be installed to this disk".

The disk is appearing ok and I know it worked previously with XP before it was formatted.

I have tried all option such as formatting it, deleting it, clicking "New" to create a new partition. I have removed the drive and formatted it in another pc and have also used DISKPART to create and format the disk but nothing works.

I have also used different Windows 7 DVD's without effect.

Is there a simple way of getting this sorted?

Hello,

if your BIOS is in UEFI mode, you can have this problem, just click next.

That article says that the resolution is to just click the Next button but that doesn't work for
Me.
You should have the possibility to show details when you have the error message, no ?

Windows 7 32 or 64 bits ?
After you created the partition, did you make the partition "active" with DISKPART?
