Exchange 2010 Dist group question

I  am filling in for somebody and trying to create a new mail distribution group in exchange for some employees in our company.  I think I did everthing right based on the other group settings I looked at.  If I send a mail internally to the group from Outlook- the memebers get it.  However, when I send an email from my gmail account to the group email address on the email tab, it does not go through.    Back in gmail I get a 550 no such user error....

What did I do wrong?

There is a setting in DG which need to be unchecked in order to allow external users to relay emails to that DG.  Goto Properties and uncheck require that all senders are authenticated.

Still doubt check this

Just uncheck it.

Is there something between Exchange and the internet?

Yes- Postini...I am guessing I have to add it there too.
Probably. I don't think there is a sync functionality in Postini.

Simon.
Please perform below steps:

1. Go to Distribution List properties.
2. Click on Mailflow Settings.
3. Select Message Delivery Restriction.
4. Click on Properties.
5. Select All senders under Accept message from"
Check the ndr message from where it is bounced back...Do you have any 3rd party vendor for spam filter like Message lab....might you need to update there.
