Moving from Godaddy webmail to imap or pop on outlook - getting folders other than inbox
I'm trying to help someone that has godaddy webmail. He's been using the webmail and has a bunch of folders under his inbox. He had set up outlook to use this account and set it up asimap,so I guess that's why he has that same folder structure in outlook. If he moves to POP mail, will he still have that folder structure in his outlook?
Andwhat's your opinion of pop vs.imap? Does godaddylimit how much mail you can keep on their server? My friend doesn't know

And responsiveness for IMAP vs. POP - when you click on an email / folder,is there more of a lag because it's getting the info from the server? Or everything is stored locally in addition to the server and imap keeps them in sync?
Yes, I've used pop for years and realizing that when you have the account on several machines you have to deal with either seeing / deleting the same mail several times - once on each machine - or don't see all mail in one place.
I've heard bad things about imap / that if you want imap, you really want to use exchange. and with office 365 being so cheap, seems to be the way to go to keep things in synch across several devices AND you get calendar and contact sync too right? IMAP doesn't do those?
so what's your thoughts of pop vs imap vs. exchange?
