Install Vmware Tools on VMWorkstation

I have VMworkstation 9 I installed Centos system on it. I would like now to install Vmware tools.
When I click on Install VMware Tools, it opens up a folder in Centos, named something like xxxxx.tar.gz
when I close the folder, I see on centos desktop the CD icon for vmware tools, I guess it mounts it automatically. But I still do not know how to install the vmware tools from there.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

I am getting the error shown on snapshot, when I try to extract the file
dear ,

logon to the linux  system as root user not any user say "xyz"or your "username "

then you will get permissions to extract the folder contents

thanks

Use CD to change directory

Did you watch my video?

Then type ./script.pl
