Power Pivot Field List Names

I am using Excel 2013. I want to create a PivotTable using PowerPivot. I have a data mart with dimension tables and one fact table.

I have a workbook with a bunch of sheets, one for each dimension table, and a sheet with the fact table.  Each table has first row headings and the sheets were each given meaningful names, like Date, Vehicle, Incident Facts, etc.

I created a PowerPivot.    I got into the Diagram View and set up all the relationships.  When I push the PivotTable button to look at my data, it works correctly EXCEPT, the field names are TABLE1, TABLE2, etc.  It is obviously ignoring my Sheet names.  Right clicking on the Fields in the PivotTable gives no choice to name them, are set a description property, etc.

How do you get a PowerPivot-created PivotTable to use the Field names of your choice?

I have followed a few tutorials from YouTube, online, etc.  Everything works fine, except they get nice names, I get TABLE1, TABLE2, ETC.

The tables, sheets, columns, --everything--has been named. But the pivot table field list ignores them and just uses Table1, Table2, etc as shown in the attached diagram.

Have you ever produced a pivot table using power pivot and had it use your names?    There must be a way to do it.  I need this for a customer presentation, so I can't show Table1, etc.

If I build an SSAS cube and connect, of course, everything is good, but I want to use PowerVIew which doesn't work with cubes.

Yes - the pivot uses the Table name (not the sheet name).
