RDS 2012 - RD Gateway not installing
Experts,
In my lab, I've tried multiple installations, but keep falling short of success for the Remote Desktop Services (VDI) - RD Gateway role.
I'll keep it short... I have a RDS installation set, which works perfectly in my internal network. Attempting to get internet clients connected is where I'm having the issues. I know I need the RD Web role installed (this is 100% installed and working, as I can see the published VDI pools)
When I install the "RD Gateway" role, the wizard completes successfully - but then it never registers that it's actually installed. I'm attempting to install this role onto the same server as the "RD Web" role.
Ideas?

hi,
I can't figure out why because I just reinstalled the whole system and it was perfectly fine.

Issue still present. Resolving stale EE question.

Installing both locally, and remotely gives me the exact same results.
1. I select to install the RD Gateway service
2. The wizard completes 100% successfully.
3. Returning to the "Overview" - the RD Gateway server itself never actually got installed. It still registers that this deployment does not have one.
*This has happened in two separate instances, involving 4 separate servers - all the same outcome. I've attached screenshots to show you what I'm meaning.
