Microsoft Lync compatibility with Xenapp
Hi Experts,
I've recently discovered that lync can be installed (and even 2013) and published via xen app, and indeed it can still be used for video conferencing in this manor
However i cant find any documentation on how to achieve this, and lync out of the box on citrix doesn't seem to support video (as it doesn't seem to map web cams etc on the client device
Does anyone have any experience with this?

Refer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2560826. Video is not supported, only screen sharing is supported

Ah it looks like its only supported as a streaming app
XenApp 6.x do support Lync 2013 with non-seamless mode.

yes, you need publish server desktop to get lync works.
you need check the requirement and install lync vdi plugin to see does that works.
I haven't install lync 2013 on xenapp 6.x server, but I can find from the KB, that's can get web cam work.

hmmm the vdi plugin is installed but it still wont pass through a web cam. There doesn't appear to be a guide anywhere either as to what is involved in the set up either
maybe you can try citrix hdx optimization pack for lync
you can download from citrix.com

Hi Froyo,
All done, but still no luck :(
Is there anything else that needs to be configured to get it to work?
