How can I get around the "A fatal eror occurred while trying to sysprep the machine" error
Good evening Experts,
I have created a pristine image that has all four rearm counts remaining ,but I am still getting the "A fatal eror occurred while trying to sysprep the machine" error. I simply hate sysprep, as I don't understand its significance other than creating unique sids, but from what you guys have told me in previous post, there is more to it than that.
I just want to image my pristine machines with all the updates and applications on it. What am I doing wrong with the sysprep issue. Please don't simply give me a link to go read, as I probably have them from previous questions I have asked about sysprep. I even tried the registry workaround to the HKLM GeneralizationState to 7 and still get the same error. additionally , I uninstalled and reinstalled msdtc , as recommended from other forums.
hey guys , cant I just use Acronis to image the machine as many times as I like or will sysprep still be required. I am sorry , that I don't get the whole sysprep thing. I just want to get 15 machines installed in as little time as possible.

everything seems to be working.... I am cloning now with clonezilla. Teocam, did you look at the link I posted. Is your solution similar , if so then you would be deserving of the points. Regardless your post seems very valid, and I will look at it even if the solution I found on line works. The more the better

Because the link I posted was the actual solution, but teomcam's was just as substantive, albeit a little verbose
