Visio Web Page Search Function Skips -1
I have a Visio page which contains shapes named with various alpha-numeric combinations (e.g. XYZ-2). When I publish this page to a web page, and use the search function, I encounter the following behavior. In some cases a search for XX-1 will skip over XX-1 and instead return XX-10, XX-11, and XX-12…. In another case, a search for YY-1 returns YY-1. I have tried taking a shape that the search has found and renaming it with a -1 name which the search is skipping and have the same results. So I am thinking it is not the shape that is being missed. Any thoughts or suggestions regarding the cause and remedy here?
Are these by chance network shapes? Have you made any use of layers?
There's a layer-related bug with web export and search that I'll have to go lookup, but I thought I'd ask first.

Its a basic rectange shape, not sure if it came from the network collection, as it something that was passed along to me. I have assigned the shapes to layer. Thanks
Chris -- the layer problem related to network shapes came up recently in this question. If GWAllen is using a rectangle and not one of the computer and network stencils, it might not be related.
I created a simple-minded diagram to try to reproduce the problem and was not able to. I've attached the diagram -- is this similar to what you are using that fails, GW?

Something like that. The shape name is set to link to the primary key name in an Excel sheet. So the name is taken from a data set linked to the shape. When it is published in Visio to a web page, there is a search feature on the left hand side of the web page. This search function skips some of the XX-1 controls, returning instead the XX-10 control. If I change the key to read XX-01, search can then return it. I am not certain as to the orgin of the orginal shape as I have inherited this project.
