Unable To Rename Port Name

I installed a Brother's printer driver which is connected to my computer via my home network to my new Brother MFC-J6710DW printer. I am using Windows XP Professional. Even though I am able to print to my new printer, I would like to rename the port to match up with the new IP address (see attachment). When I go to the port configure screen it will not allow me to rename the port name. Can I do this without having to delete and then add a new port?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

For some reason this procedure did not work. It did highlight the port name but would not allow me to type in a different name.
