Create Outlook 2007 Distribution List from My Contacts folder

Create Outlook 2007 Distribution List from My Contacts folder

Under Outlook 2007 Contacts are 32 contacts in: Contacts...My Contacts...Bookstore Applicants. A subheading is 'Outlook Data File: (none) (32 items).

How do I create a distribution list from these items - that is, a list of names/email addresses that will appear in 'To...' as "Bookstore Applicants" and be sent to the 32 contacts.

The methods in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/284292 - Define the Distribution List, Add Contacts to Your New Distribution List for Outlook 2007 do not access 'Bookstore Applicants' folder in My Contacts folder.

The list of contacts ['Bookstore Applicants'] is in the same list ['My Contacts'] as all my other contacts. Below that list are folders(?) such as 'New Group' and 'Library Friends Board'

The Library Friends Board Group(?) is listed in 'Contacts'  which is under 'My Contacts'.

Seems I have to make 'Bookstore Applicants' a Group - replacing a 'New Group' with 'Bookstore Applicants'. If true, how do I do it - that is, populate a group?

Clicking 'Add New Group' only adds additional empty group; dragging 'Bookstore Applicants' into 'New Group' area only changes position. Right-click and selecting Properties/Show as Address Book

>>Have you enabled the "Outlook Data File" as an "Outlook Address Book"?

Yes, where does it go? 'Search address books'  does not find any 'Bookstore Applicants'  entry.
