OWA settings Exchange 2010 trouble processing your request

I have a new Exchange 2010 SP3 server. I just found out that we can not make changes in OWA options. We get the error "Sorry! We're having trouble processing your request right now. Please try again in a few minutes."

I have matched up ECP settings in Exchange and in IIS I matched the settings for Authentication and SSL. I have set them according to this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg247612.aspx as well as copying those settings from another Exchange 2010 server that does work.

I saw this on one site where they removed and added the virtual directories
"Get-EcpVirtualDirectory | Remove-EcpVirtualDirectory
Get-OwaVirtualDirectory | Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory

I am a little afraid to do this since I may break something else. Is that a safe thing to try

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

resetting the OWA virtual directories should be fine.
