Cannot seem to find mask or background settings...

Some of the featured images in my WP blog do not have the exact width of the column, and the left and right sides "fill in" with a gray-ish color.  I thought that it might be using a .png file that I saw referenced in a css file, but (I think that) i changed all the appropriate png files to be plain white.

Here are a couple of examples:

I would like the side fill color to be white so that it will look little better - can you tell me what file(s) I would need to change?

You just need to update one color at your CSS file:

Find these lines:

/* ---------- Image Hovers / MASK ---------- */

.view{width:100%;float:left;overflow:hidden;position:relative;text-align:center;cursor:default;background:url('../img/spinner.gif') center center no-repeat #f1f1f1!important}

Correct #f1f1f1 to #ffffff

Final line of CSS code will be:
.view{width:100%;float:left;overflow:hidden;position:relative;text-align:center;cursor:default;background:url('../img/spinner.gif') center center no-repeat #ffffff!important}

Ta da!

The !important should not be necessary.  if it is then the change needs to be further down the tree.
