vsphere compliance checker

If you have used the vsphere compliance checker, do you typically have to supply the root password on each host http://www.vmware.com/products/vsphere-compliance-checker/overview.html i.e. i no vsphere is built on linux? So are you supplying a linux password to get the scan to run?

Or are you running it with domain (windows) credentials? I.e. if you have full access to vcenter via domain admin rights, would that suffice to run these scans?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
