requirement for SSRS being able to export to MSWORD

For an export to word option, from SSRS, what are the other requirements? Does it need to have sql engine installed ? and so forth?

Are you not able to export to word?

I may be misunderstanding your question.

As Sammy said, this is possible by default just through SSRS.  But depending on your requirement you may want to check the version of SSRS.  You're probably aware that the Office file formats have changed since Office 2007.  If you need to export to this new .docx (or .xlsx for that matter) format, you need at least SSRS 2012.
