App Pool -- Connection Pool when multiple connection strings...

Could someone define the behavior of the .Net IIS 7.5 App Pool managment of a connection pool?

If you are set to have 15 connections, but you have 2 connection strings used in your app...

Will you get 7 of one and 8 of the other, or two sets of 15 connections?

Thanks,

G

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A different connection pool is created for a distinct connection string. So you will have  2 connection pools. Each pool has default max pool size of 100. Check Sql Server Connection Pooling.
