Using VMware to access existing BootCamp Windows XP Pro partition on Mac OS X 10.8

I've got a Mac that has Windows XP Pro running in Boot Camp on it already. I want to install VMware to "access" that Windows partition so I don't have to constantly log out of the OS X to access Windows on the machine.

I already installed VMware Fusion 5 on the Mac and I can access Windows but the VM windows that Windows is running in has 2 inches of black space on either side of the window and no resolution adjustments seem to be affecting it.

How can I make the Windows window run in full screen mode?

In a Windows / VMware Workstation environment, that (screen resolution) shows up because VMware Tools have not been installed.

I think Fusion is very similar, so see if you can install the Tools in the XP box. That should fix it.
