photoshop cs2

somebody at my work has photoshop cs2, and i am upgrading her computer. so on the new pc i installed photoshop cs2, but when she went to use it, it required a registration. but she couldn't register because adobe won't register photoshop cs2 anymore.
so is there any way to use photoshop cs2? or is it just basically useless software?

to reinstall your app. You can not use the installation disks that you have.
Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 applications.

CS2 applications require activation to run. To run a CS2 application, uninstall your existing CS2 application and install a "special version" that does not require activation. You cannot reinstall from your original discs.

Then use the follwing link to download and re-install it.

They spend more engering time on licensing then products...

You can get elements for $80 bucks and that will have more power then cs2.  For free there is gimp but not as nice to use.  There are also plenty of online tools like
