blocking ip addresses

How do you block certain IP addresses in a network?  We have a cisco router and I want to block some known bad IP addresses.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

On a router I'd route it to the null interface, since you know the IP.

It is an RVS4000 and you will have to talk down to me, I'm not well versed in this type of thing.

In the GUI, under  "Firewall" you  have "ip based acl" section. Just type in the source and destination IP and you are done.

Please note in this particular model of router, if there is any port forwarding done, then it will take precedence i.e ACL will not have any effect.
