SonicWall nsa2400 VPNs Locking Up

SonicWall NSA 2400 with Sonic OS Enhanced

30 VPNs in place, all work then the box suddenly locks up.

We can then "Renegotiate" one of the VPNs through the GUI and all starts working again.

Firmware has been updated to latest version with no change.

Any ideas?

Hi CavOtis,

5.9.x is an Early Release and still has many kinks in it. I recommend downgrading to the latest 5.8.x release. It's a pain unless you have a good settings backup of a 5.8.x release. You basically have to reset and go back to factory defaults. Then either manually reconfig or upload the settings backup of the same firmware version or prior to the one now booted to (e.g. 5.8.x).

Here is the proper way to downgrade:

You may want to take a look at the Release Notes > Known Issues. It also doesn't show your device as being compatible with this firmware release: http://software.sonicwall.com/Firmware/Documentation/232-000925-00_Rev_B_SonicOS_5.9.0.0_Release_Notes.pdf
