copying big email folders from public folders to shared mailbox

All project folders stored in the public folders (more than 600GB over the years running on Exchange 2007) are being copied into multiple shared mailboxes stored in Exchange 2013.  vWe use Outlook 2013 to copy.  I know it's a bit rudimentary, but it's safe.

But some folders containing a lot a subfolders are too heavy to be copied.

is there any other way to move the folders to the shared mailboxes?

Thanks

Copy / paste is the safest and fastest way to do this task. Rest it will take its own time.

if it's to big it doesn't work.
Use this method

Option which you are using is not recommended.
I'm not migrating the public folders into the new public folders.  I'm moving some of the folders we have from the public folders to new shared mailboxes.
try this create a rule for copying emails to shared mailbox
Try Export to PST, then import to mailbox.
We have a lot of folders to move.  it will take a tremendous amount of time.  I  think Outlook or Exchange is not allowing the copy of large email folders.  The only solution is to recreate the root and take subfolders ont by one.
Outlook is often limited to around 2000 items - as it needs to be able to UNDO changes.
If you close and re-open it you reset this count.
Most folders have more than 2000 items.  I can't close Outlook during the copy.

Is there a way to set this option to be off by default?
