Office 365 & iPhone not downloading email
Greetings:
We recently switched to Office 365. All of our iPhone users are now complaining of random occurrences of the following:
1. Receive an email. Can read it ok.
2. Wait several days (to allow the message to not be cached on the iPhone)
3. "Search" for that email on the iPhone
4. When the email is found, the following error is reported: "This message has not been downloaded from the server"
5. Appears to random.
6. At least two of the emails with this error had attachments to them.
7. Many of these emails are quite small.
8. Not seeing this problem on Android or Windows phones.
Any one got an idea??
TIA,
Jim

Hi Jim, I had faced the same issue on Exchange 2007. The issue is to do with the Activsync, try disabling and re-enabling the Activsync might solve the issue

This is office 365. Not sure how to do that.
Also Before doing this please check your event viewer logs for any ActivSync Issues
What version of iPhones do you have and are they on the latest iOS versions?
Have you removed the account from the phone and re-added it?
Never had this problem with Office 365 myself. Is Autodiscover setting the accounts up on the iPhone properly?

Latest 6.x Yes, autodiscover is set up and working correctly. Have not deleted and re-added the account to the iPhone again. Might give that a try.
There are / were various problems with iOS 6 in the earlier versions, so please make sure all devices are upgraded to the latest version available.

Hitecator: I disabled/re-enabled active sync in 365. I am now able to look at older messags. That sounds good. I'll need to wait a few days for current messages to no longer cache and see if it's fixed.
Seems promising!
