Clipping mp3 files on a MacBook

I just got a shop to convert all my demo music cassette tapes to mp3 for me. about 30 MB each.
Without Cakewalk or a music studio, is there a simple way to edit sound / mp3 files on a Mac ?
Cut each song away to its own mp3 file?

Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/mac is available for the Mac along with the LAME plugin that is required to create MP3s.
