formula error when file is opened in 2003

Hi Experts

i am using the following formula in excel 2007

=IFERROR(SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6)),"")
which work fine

when i save the workbook as as 97-2003 and open it up in excel 2003 i am getting #name error and the formula changes to

=_xlfn.IFERROR(SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6)),"")

how do i fix this

Hi,

IFERROR is only supported since XL2007

pls try
=IF(ISERROR(SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6)),"",SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6))

There are a couple of ways round it, the 2007 Compatibility Pack might solve it but suspect not if it has already added the "_xlfn." statement.

The other way would be to change the formula back to 2003 style:

=IF(ISERROR(SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6)),"",SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6)))

Might need to check the brackets as I have just copied from above.

Thanks

Hi,

Corrected formula

=IF(ISERROR(SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6))),"",SUM(OFFSET('Summary - Daily'!$U$49,MATCH($D52,'Summary - Daily'!$D$50:$D$53,0),MATCH(F$8,'Summary - Daily'!$F$8:$AK$8,0),1,6)))
