Public Folder Entry to be visible only to a couple of certain users?

Is it possible to make Public Folder Entry to be visible only to a couple of certain users but only for this entry no others.

If you change the "Default" permission on the Public Folder to none, then no one will see it who doesn't have permsisions to do so. Ensuire that you ahve at least one Owner, then add the additional permissions as required.

You can modify permissions at the folder and sub-folder levels, but I do not believe controlling a specific entry is possible.

I use a tool called ExFolders (available here:

To use it, you simply drop the exfolders file into your exchange 'bin' folder (ie: \Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange server\V14\Bin). Once you run it, you click File > Connect, ensure the Public Folders radio button is checked, select your Global Catalog server, and the specific public folder database, then click connect.

Once it connects, your list of public folders will be available, and each folder you can right-click and modify permissions for.

My suggestion, if you have sensitive data for a small set of users, is to create an additional folder specifically for them with restricted permissions, this way their entries will be secure.
