When does the Global Address List update changes

I made changes to many users Descriptions and Job titles in their profiles yesterday and this morning they do not show in the Global Address List under Title.  I was under the impression it updated at night.

When does it update?

Can I update it manually?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The global address list should be updating nightly. If your outlook clients are running in cached mode it could take up to 2 days from the time you updated the information for it to appear in their outlook. This is due to the variable timing when outlook downloads the address book.

If you look on webmail do the changes you made appear there?

Open exchange system manager.

Go to recipients

Offline address list

right-click and rebuild.

This is for exchange 2003 anyway.

Also the steps to manually updated didn't work for Exchange 2010.  Unless it was because of the "use cached" setting.

Thanks for helping
