HACMP quick setup guide.

I am familiar with VCS, but not much familiar with HACMP/POWER VM.  What are the main differences?

In order to setup VCS

1. FIRST configure LLT
2. GAB
3. Resource
4. Service group
5. Applications

How to setup in HACMP, thanks in advance

The cluster applies I/O fencing on its own. No need to configure it.

Split brain is avoided by continuous communication between nodes.
If this communication fails on all available lines the affected node triggers its dead man switch and shoots itself in the head. The other node then takes over what's required,
HACMP is a bit different, and the setup heavily depends on whether it's HACMP 5, PowerHA 6 or PowerHA System Mirror 7.

Which version do you plan to install?

Fot PowerHA System Mirror 7 you basically  just have to follow these smit menus:

Run "smitty hacmp" then choose "Cluster Nodes and Networks" > "  Initial Cluster Setup (Typical)" then walk through " Setup a Cluster, Nodes and Networks" and "Define Repository Disk and Cluster IP Address" and enter your values.

Then start over and choose " Cluster Applications and Resources" and walk through
"Resources" and "Resource Groups" to enter your configuration data.

Thank you very much.  IN veritas cluster we need to setup I/O fencing ( cordinator disk to avoid split brain).  Do  you have same concept in power HA or hacmp?
