VMWare DataStore Inactive

We added a new host to our VMSphere 5.0 infrastructure.  We tried connecting storage on the EMC VNXe SAN to it with no luck.  Suddenly though, a datastore hosted on the same storage device for a different VM is listed as inactive.  No idea what went wrong.  Can someone help us?

Here is a little more info.  From the VM host, I can ping the VNXe  device however from VNXe, I cannot ping the host.

Are any VMs missing?
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

So, in the end, it looks like the host has issues with a nic card.  Replaced it and all looks OK.

Good suggestion to help rule out potential issues. Problem turned out to be a funky nic card.
