Hi,<br />

We’ve just created our first vSphere 5 VM with disks on different datastores on our SAN. 3 different datastores to be exact. For all our other VMs all disks are stored on the same/single datastore. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
Is there anything we need to be aware of e.g. &nbsp;vmotioning, storage DRS, backups?? <br />
I guess other people do this fine but its our first VM like this, also our most critical and is going straight to production so appreciate any advice.<br />

Hi,

vSphere VM on multipe datastores

VMware, a software company founded in 1998,  was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies.
