FM 11 Report

I have a database that collects data about pets' visits. I am trying to build a report that summarizes the visits for the found count for pets and display a total at the bottom.

Below is a sample of what I want:

Name of Pet      Number Of Visits
Pet 1                    2
Pet 2                    4
Pet 3                    1

      Total Visits:    7

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to do two things:

1) Go into Layout mode in your report and add a Trailing Grand Summary "part" below the existing Body part and above the Footer part using the Add Section tool (right next to the Add Field tool).

2) Create a new field called, perhaps, TotalVisits, and change the Type to "Summary". In the dialog that pops up, select "Total" on the left and select the number field that contains the number of visits for each record. Place this Summary in the Grand Summary part on the layout. It will summarize the total of the current Found set of records.
