"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Of course, you can start with something very basic like
http://davidevitelaru.com/downloads/Visual%20C-Sharp%20Programming%20Basics.pdf.

However, I'd recommend something like:
http://ase.softmentor.ro/POO/Carti/ProgrammingMicrosoftWindowsWithCSharp.pdf or
http://charlespetzold.com/winforms/index.html .
The book is a bit outdated but is very good in mastering C#.

You may try some on-line tutorials.:

Thanks for the response.

I see these books are very old and most of them use Visual basic 2005.

Do we have some ebooks which user VB 2008 or VB 2012?

Do you need a book on C# or VB.Net?

Anyway, you may find this one useful:

"Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4 Six-in-One":
http://www.amazon.com/Visual-Studio-2010-NET-Six/dp/0470499486

Also from WROX:

However some books from previous posts would be good for starters.
