Starting Minecraft
I am attempting to get the latest version of Minecraft going that is now hosted by Mojang. I have successfully set up the account, paid for the game via PayPal, have received the order ID and downloaded the launcher (ver 1.2.1). When I click on the Minecraft icon in Downloads, it opens to a page that has descriptions of the various versions of the program and a bunch of links on the right side - none of which start the program. No icons appear on the desktop and the program does not appear on the list of "All Programs" at the start button. I'm at loss on how to start the program. It must be something obvious, but I can't seem to get to it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Here's the bottom of the launcher page - can play demo, but, even though is says ready to play 1.6.2, don't see any way to start it.

Even thought I've bought the game and have the order number, it seems that the issue is getting the download to recognize me as a registered user - it shows "player" in the lower right where I would expect my user name.

May have broken the code . . . where it says "Player" at the bottom right, if I click log out and then log back in with my user name, the play demo becomes play. That should solve the issue. Will have to let my grandson try it out - he is the REAL Minecraft expert.
Will report back to confirm success.

No worries - demo play is normal in the unregistered game client.
BTW - if you were intending to add screenshots it looks like they weren't uploaded

Strange about the screen shots - they were jpg files and it showed the were attached when I sent the message. Oh well - as long as the issue seems to be solved. I'll confirm tomorrow.
Thanks for the help.

Sorry for the lapse - forgot that I hadn't closed this out. My grandson confirms that all is working well. Thanks much for the suggestions.
