Windows 8 PRO wont playback DVD

When I go to add Windows Media Center is says my product key isn't any good and I am typing it off the email receipt for purchase.  Why wont it allow me to download software pack

Windows 8 Pro does not come with DVD media codecs you need the Media Center Add-on which uses a separate product key.

That or use 3rd party software to play the dvd i.e. Vidolan, Cyperlink PowerDVD
