Protecteing resources on esxi 4.1
have to configure..
Protection requirements for system facility entries executing with privilege authority.
/etc/init.d/ directory structure
Each active entry's file/command/script to be executed, and all existing directories in its path, must have settings for "other" of r-x or more stringent.

also to check for..
Swap Files ending in .vswp must have permission bits set to xx0. &
Data files ending in .vmdk must have permission bits set to xx0.
is it applicable for my esxi host and will there be any outage for my pord esxi 4.1?

Have you checked the Security Hardening Guide, and Security Compliance Documents for ESXi 4.1 if you are trying to secure ESXi.
