I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello Yairge,

FortiAPs are proprietary and can be used only with FortiGates with built in security features. FortiGate won't allow you to add other vendor AP's (For centralized management). You have to use other APs as standalone APs.

Good Luck!

Hi,
you can do one thing you can place repeaters it will allow you to cover more area.

Repeater is a wireless network device that repeats wireless signals to extend range without being connected with cable to either your router/modem, or your clients. Many routers/access points can be configured in "repeater" mode.

Common purpose Belkin and Linkysis have different range of repeaters.
