How to connect with usb console cable.on HP switches 2530

Hi there,
I can not use RJ45 To DB9 cable because I don't have a serial com on my pc.
So I find a usb console cable.
Please help to find a step by step configure usb console cable in order to connect me to swtich
1 Solution

1. plug your rs232 cable to your laptop and install the necessary drivers
2. open hyperterminal or putty and set the necessary parameters
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: Xon/Xoff
3.In the Connect To dialog screen, in the Connect using field, select the appropriate COM port to use (for example, COM1), and click OK. you can verify this by going to the device manager, com ports and verify which com port your rs232 is listed
1, you need to install usb driver for usb console cable.
2, connect your RJ 45 to DB9 cable to switch.
3, DB9 end connect usb  console.
4,Go to device manager find with serial port is active(ex.com1,com 2,Com 4...)
5,Open hyper terminal or putty. select comm port and bit rate
6.then if you did all procedure correct you will get login page of your switch.
You need to get a USB serial adapter it will create a serial port on your laptop that you can connect the console cable for the switch to, the port on the switch is RJ45 but it is a SERIAL connection, you can't make a wire to connect to a network port on a PC
