Lenovo ideapad s205

Proving very difficult to set a new supervisor and/or user password.

It will allow me to change the above passwords, and after saving and exiting bios will initially allow the new password first time round, but after reboot the old password comes back into play.

ideas?

Take a look at Page 24, there are 2 passwords allowed to be set, make sure you set the correct one for Supervisor password (Exception: If only an SVP is installed, the password prompt does not appear when the operating system is booted)

still cant get this sorted.  on closing and saving bios it accepted new PW but a reboot or power off/on resulted in the old password working only.
i will try the cmos battery
